Novaluron 10% EC is a broad spectrum contact and stomach insecticides used for the control of fruit borer in tomato; Diamond back moth and Tobacco leaf eating caterpillar in Cabbage; American Bollworm and Tobacco leaf eating caterpillar in Cotton; fruit borer and Tobacco leaf eating caterpillar in chilli and pod borer in chick pea.

Avoid contact with eyes and skin when handling the concentrate or spray solution. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. avoid inhalation of spray mist. Do not drink, eat or smoke during application. Remove contaminated clothes and wash before reuse. Do not reuse containers.

Inhalation may cause coughing, shortness of breath, chemical pneumonitis, lung oedema, bronchospasm, ingestion may cause vomiting, diarrhea. In case of skin contact, redness, oedema or demitis may occur. Eye contact may result in tears or redness.

Remove the patient to the fresh air. Wash contaminated skin with plenty of soap and water. Remove contaminated clothes. If eyes are contaminated, flush eye thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes and refer to doctor. In case of poisoning by ingestion, victim should be induced to vomit by tickling the back of throat. In emergence take the patient to the nearest hospital.

No specific antidote is known, treat symptomatically.

  1. It shall be duty of manufactures, formulators of Insecticide and operators to dispose packages or surplus materials and washing in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental or water pollution.
  2. The used packages shall not be left outsides to prevent their re-use.
  3. The packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation

  1. The packages containing the insecticides shall be stored in separate rooms or premises away from the room or premises used for storing other articles particularly food articles or shall kept in separate almirahs under lock and key depending upon the quantity and nature of the insecticides.
  2. The rooms or premise meant forstoring the insecticide shall be well built, dry well-lit and ventilated and of sufficient dimensions
